For semester assignment 2, we will create Semantic Web and Web Services applications for network management. Most of the tasks require you to do programming with Java. If you are not familiar with this programming language, I recommend you to start learning!
To develop Semantic Web application, we use Jena. For Web Services, we use Axis2. Another tool that helps us building ontologies for the Semantic Web is Protégé-OWL editor. I hope this information will give you a jump start for the assignment :).
